A peer-led, safe, confidential support group for adults (18+) living with a mental illness who will relate to your experiences.

In navigating the complexities of mental illness, individuals often encounter societal misconceptions, challenging family interactions, and personal hurdles unique to their experiences.

This group offers a sanctuary—a place to connect with peers who truly understand and relate to your journey.

Social Activities

A peer-led support group for individuals living with a mental illness.

Join your peers for some socializing! Whether it’s a game day, a Red Wings game, or a chat at a coffee shop, you can meet up with peers who have similar lived experiences. NAMI hosts social activities specifically for those involved in our Connection Support Group. Check out our upcoming events!

NAMI Connection has enabled me to take a good look at my illness and see that I am not alone. The program has given me additional tools to not only accept my illness, but to help others along the way.

People can solve problems [at a Connection Support Group]. It isn’t just a bunch of sad stories; people are coming up with solutions and stuff to do for the next week. One of our group attendees is taking her meds and getting herself to her counselor and is just about able to go back to her career in great part due to Connection.
