Journal Café at EXP Studio

Join us as we set our intentions and journal collectively in a guided session with Amanda Soehner and Alexis Russell. Journaling is a great way to process emotions and release anxieties! Come journal with us using StoryCard prompts from Inspiring Experiences and free journals from NAMI Roc. Young people are welcome - age 14+ recommended.

EXP Studio is located in the Sibley Building. Here's how to find it:

Garage Parking —

• Mortimer Garage on Clinton Ave: Park on level 3, take the sky bridge into the Sibley Building, walk to the very end of the hall, and take the elevators (near the leasing office) to the 3rd floor. EXP Studio is the third door on the left.

• St. Joe's Garage (a bit closer to our suite): Park on level 3, take the sky bridge into the building, walk to the end of the hall, and take a left to the elevators. EXP Studio is the third door on the left.

Street Level Parking —

• Enter through the Mercantile on Main, walk toward the back past the restaurants, take a right toward the elevators near the security desk, and take the elevators to the third floor.

Wind down your day with NAMI Roc and yoga instructor Haley Catalano. This yoga session will focus on releasing tension, easing the body and resting the mind. Participants are invited to bring their own yoga mat if they have one. This is a free event.

We will gather on the lawn of the Memorial Art Gallery at 500 University Avenue, under the rainbow. Please dress for the weather. In the case of rain, we will meet at NAMI Roc, 346 N. Goodman St.

NAMI Rochester's most popular introductory training will teach you basic mental health and mental illness vocabulary, myths, common barriers to treatment, signs vs. symptoms, and the warning signs of suicide. Participants will gain a baseline understanding of mental illness and causes of suicide, and local resources to utilize for support.

This training is for ANYONE in the community - parents, teachers, managers, students, CEOs, business owners, artists, etc. The program will include question/answer and engaged discussion of the topics covered.
